Our Story
Harlin's Helpers services were designed from first hand experiences, developing a level of care that owner Donnell Harlin could not find to service his own family. Donnell Harlin's wife suffered a life changing spinal cord injury as a result of a car accident. He struggled to find dependable, understanding, caring attendant care professionals that he would be able to develop a trusting working relationship with. This struggle, from speaking with other survivors of injury, illness and effects of older age, was not a unique story to his family. In response to the void, he decided not to accept the quality of service that was available but to provide a company with the standards that he would feel comfortable welcoming into his own home.
Donnell Harlin
Donnell Harlin earned his bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and earning his Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University. Donnell has a long history of assisting those who are in need. He has been a member on many missionary teams serving those in need locally and around the world including Mexico, Ethiopia and Kenya. After graduating from the University of Michigan Donnell began a career in serving the youth of Detroit by way of assisting in the directing of mentoring and after school programing.
Donnell and Brandy are the proud parents of three and enjoy spending their free time entertaining family and friends and traveling the globe.
